Falu STF Hostel is only a short walk from Lake Runn. The hostel is situated in natural surroundings of the Hälsinggården district, about 3 km east of the center of Falun - The heart of Dalarna! The hostel has three buildings that include guest rooms, guest kitchen and dining / living room with TV.
In the reception hall's dining room we serve a breakfast buffet. During the summer season you can also sit outside in our lounge and eat or drink your coffee. We have a total of 35 rooms with 97 beds. There are spacious 2-, 3-, 4-bedded rooms, as well as some smaller single rooms.
The hostel is a great base for excursions in Falun and surroundings. The world heritage site with Falu copper mine, Sundborn with the Carl Larsson farm, the baroque garden in Gamla Staberg, the Lugnet med Riksskidstadion, Dalarna Museum, Ornässtugan, Torsång with motor museum and Dalarnas oldest church are just a few suggestions for interesting excursion destinations in the immediate area.
For those who want to move around, there are many activities available. At Lugnets sportscenter you will find many sporting activities. In the winter we have Cross country skiing, cross-country skating at Runn and downhill skiing in Bjursås. In the summertime you can Swim, paddle, cycle and hike in the forest.
