By train - The train from Helsinki to Hanko runs daily and takes approximately 2 hours, with 1 short stop at Karjaa. Tickets can be purchased online from VR, at the station, or directly from the train conductor. Note that purchasing the ticket from the conductor is more expensive. By bus - Direct buses between Helsinki and Hanko run four times a day from Monday to Friday, and once per day on weekends. Duration of the trip varies between 2.5h-3.5h depending on the route and scheduled stops. Bus tickets can be purchased from Matkahuolto or directly from the driver.
