Directions: By car from the east - Take Värmdöleden, road 222, towards Värmdö and follow the road through Mörtnäs and Hemmesta onto road 274 towards Stenslätten. Turn right at the white sign "Fredriksborgs Fästning" about 500m before the end of the road and ferry mode. There are plenty of deer, moose, etc. here. Please drive carefully.
By car from the west - Drive towards Vaxholm, take the car ferry to Rindö, road 274, pass through Rindö to the next car ferry. After a 3-minute trip to the Värmdö side, drive straight onto road 274, drive 500m and then follow the white sign “Fredriksbord Fästning” to the left.
Bus from Slussen - Take bus 439 from Slussen to Stenslätten, then walk for about 10 minutes. Follow the sign “Fredriksborg Fästning”. (Bus 439 does not depart very often. In case of emergency please contact us. We might be able to pick you up at Siggesta Gård, or at a bus 437 or 438 busstop.
Bus from Vaxholm / Rindö - Take bus 688 from Vaxholm to Oscar-Fredriksborg on Rindö, then walk on to the free-of-charge ferry which takes 3 minutes to the Värmdö side. When arriving, walk the” small gravel road up to the left, then walk about 10 minutes. Follow the sign Fredriksborg Fästning”.
Boat - We have a large bridge deck where tour and taxi boats can cater and drop off or pick up guests. There is also a smaller dock with seven places for leasure boats. Please call us if you think of arriving with your own boat or taxi boat.
